    Everything I create is for my boys. When life asked me to start over — grief, uncertainty, two little ones counting on me — I chose to build something instead of wait for something. I'm proud of the woman I became through that season. And every day, I get to show my boys what it looks like to create your own path.

    I chose this name because growth is always the goal. For me, comfort looks like open air, tall trees, and a home that feels like a true refuge. Every piece I create and curate is designed to bring that feeling into your space — made by hand, with intention, for a life you're proud to come home to.

    I spent 20 years in corporate operations, finance, HR, and investment services — learning how to build things that last. When the pandemic closed that chapter, I took everything I knew and poured it into something of my own. About Woodland Comforts

This shop began on Etsy in a season of loss. My name is Shannon Bartlett, and I turned to woodworking as a way to process the loss in a way that felt productive and knew my dad would be proud of. Creating a useful and lasting piece with intention. What started as furniture became much more than a craft—it became a path of healing. A way my dad lives on through what he taught me and how it became the way I provide for my children.

With every piece, I found myself rediscovering strength, patience, and the rooted energy that flows through nature. Building with my hands taught me how to rebuild within myself.
Woodland Comforts is now both a workshop and a sanctuary. The shelves and tables still hold space in people’s homes, but the spiritual tools—the altar sets, meditation kits, and mindful decor—hold space in people’s inner lives. These pieces are created with intention: to help others find calm, ritual, and connection in their own healing journeys.

What I share here is more than wood and design—it’s a story of resilience. Each item carries the quiet reminder that growth is possible, even in times of loss, and that the grounding energy of nature is always within reach.
