Our Story

Family
Everything I create is for my boys. When life asked me to start over — grief, uncertainty, two little ones counting on me — I chose to build something instead of wait for something. I'm proud of the woman I became through that season. And every day, I get to show my boys what it looks like to create your own path. -
Woodland Comforts
I chose this name because growth is always the goal. For me, comfort looks like open air, tall trees, and a home that feels like a true refuge. Every piece I create and curate is designed to bring that feeling into your space — made by hand, with intention, for a life you're proud to come home to. -
Growth
I spent 20 years in corporate operations, finance, HR, and investment services — learning how to build things that last. When the pandemic closed that chapter, I took everything I knew and poured it into something of my own. When you buy from Woodland Comforts, you're choosing handcrafted quality from someone who built this from scratch — and investing in a Montessori education my boys thrive in.
FAQ
Do you accept returns, exchanges or alterations after delivery?
Due to the custom nature of handmade items, we do not accept returns, exchanges or requests for alterations after delivery for any item marked CUSTOM or HANDMADE. We ask that you communicate any specific requests through our message conversation during the order process. We only know about a preference or request if you specify it in your message. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests.
Do you send photos before you ship items?
Due to the high volume of orders that we create and ship everyday we are unable to send photos or create mock-ups before production and shipment. We also sometimes share sneak peeks of customer items on our Instagram @WoodlandComfortsLLC
What if my package is delayed/lost in transit, or stolen?
Woodland Comforts is not liable for packages that are delayed in transit, lost by the shipping carrier, or stolen– all circumstances which are beyond our control. Once we hand over to the shipping carrier, it is their responsibility to deliver the item– please contact the shipping carrier directly regarding delays or lost packages. If you suspect mail theft you can obtain the GPS coordinates of the last scan point from the shipping carrier and file a mail theft report with your local police department.
If a sale starts after I place my order, will you refund the difference?
The price paid is the price of the item at the time of your order. For example, if the item is in a 10% for sale a week after you order, we do not go back and refund all previous customers that % off amount.
What if my item is returned to the sender/seller after it’s shipped? What if it is damaged upon arrival?
If a customer’s order is returned to the sender/seller for ANY reason the customer is responsible for paying for reshipment.
You MUST take a picture of the outside of the package and any damage to the piece in order to make a claim through the shipping provider within 24 hours of delivery.
My order did not reach me on time. Can I return it?
Sometimes there are delays in transit times across all of our shipping carriers, and these will increase in the Holiday season. We cannot guarantee that a shipment will arrive by a specific date even if the tracking provides an estimated delivery date. We have had cases where a shipment is significantly delayed and shows as unscanned even if it was shipped. You will get your shipment but we are in no position to guarantee the timeline. We cannot refund or cancel orders if they did not arrive on time. If your order did not arrive on time, please contact us and the shipping carrier. We try our best to work with you, but we don't control shipping. Please understand that NO returns are accepted for shipping delays.
What to expect before purchasing real wood products.
Real wood furniture or other products provide a warm and natural feel to your space. With that natural beauty comes natural compositions.
Real wood naturally absorbs moisture within its environment and expands when moisture is high and contracts when moisture is low. Temperature in itself does not affect the movement of wood, but usually, with higher temperatures comes higher humidity and the opposite effect when it's colder. Temperature changes mainly affect wood movement outdoors when there's no climate control. Humidity is the main reason why real wood tends to crack, split, bow or twist. The reason behind this is that wood, even when dry, has microvessels that can absorb moisture, causing wood to expand and contract.
What to expect before purchasing real wood products continued.
The default wood used in our products is made from a variety of pine wood. We use pine. With this in mind, pine wood is a species of softwood and can be volatile with inconsistencies, blemishes or imperfections. When stained, pine wood may absorb more in some places than others, with areas that are softer or have more vessels. Pine wood tends to have knots, cracks, splits, and dents far easier than its hardwood counterparts. In most cases, customers enjoy the uniqueness pine wood has to offer and give that furniture piece a rustic or barn look. Customers who have less tolerance of these unique imperfections and are willing to pay more should consider hardwood for their wood product needs.
